Netherlands 1988 European Champions Football Team Print

Held on the 25th June 1988, at the Olympiastadion, in Munich, the 1988 Euro final took place between the Soviet Union and the Netherlands. After an outstanding tournament led by the legendary Ruud Gullit, the Netherlands went on to secure victory 2-0 & with it, lifted the trophy for the first time. A penalty save from Hans van Breukelen & a right footed volley, considered as one of the greatest goals of all time from Marco Van Basten, all contributed to one of the biggest achievements in Dutch football history.
