Taking place at Rodney Parade, on 30th October, the world famous All Blacks visited the home of Newport as part of their four-month tour of the British Isles, France & Canada. Despite New Zealand fielding greats such as Colin Meads & Don Clarke the Black & Amber caused a huge upset winning the game 3-0 thanks to a drop goal from John Uzzell inflicting the only defeat on the southern hemisphere side throughout the tour.
