Played on the 26th of May 2007, the League Two playoff final witnessed Bristol Rovers, who had finished sixth during the league season, take on Shrewsbury who had finished seventh. After suffering an early setback when Shrewsbury took the lead, Rovers gradually grew into the game and gave their opponents a tough match. Two goals from Richard Walker, and another from Sammy Igoe allowed Bristol to run out 3-1 winners.
