Shrewsbury boss Kevin Ratcliffe masterminded the humiliation of his former club as Everton were bundled out of the Cup at Gay Meadow during an historic 3rd round tie. Ratcliffe, Everton's most successful captain, was elated as two goals from veteran captain Nigel Jemson sparked a massive third round shock. 80 places separated the teams on the day, but this wasn't visible to the human eye, as Shrewsbury eliminated the top flight side.
